Gift Cards & Gifts

Gift cards are available for purchase on the website and in the studio.

If you would like to send a specific item directly to someone as a gift, please just make a note in the comments section of your order form and I’ll gift wrap the item for you and write a notecard for you to accompany the gift.

Please understand that at certain times of the year – e.g. Christmas,  Easter, during a pandemic - shipping times can vary so make sure you allow enough time for the gift to arrive in time for the recipient's special day.

Click & Collect

“Click & Collect” orders placed by 11am will be ready by midday the next day for collection unless otherwise advised on the website. Just choose the “Click & Collect” option when paying.

Sizing

Getting sizing right with vintage clothing is tricky. What was a size 14 in 1960 can now be considered a size 10 or depending on the manufacturer.

I have done my very best to sort my vintage clothing into modern clothing size categories. To help with this, where possible I’ve measured items in standard places such as hips, waist, bust/chest, under arms, arm and leg lengths and added these measurements to the item’s description.

I’ve also tried to sort vintage clothing into categories where I feel that the cut and sizing of an item means it can be worn by a person of any gender. Because don’t we all deserve to wear whatever we want if we can fit into it?

Please look at the sizing information available for each item and check your measurements before purchasing or renting.  Where I have been able to find original sizing charts, I have added them into the product description.

Using Vintage Sporting Equipment

Our vintage sports equipment is sold as decorative items only and should not be used for any other purpose. I Dream of Snow accepts no liability or responsibility for the use of decorative items that the purchaser chooses to use for any sporting or recreational purposes.

All the vintage items I Dream of Snow stock have been checked and cleaned before offering them to the purchaser for sale. Any damage has been noted and is identified in the product details before making available for sale.

Wearing Vintage Clothing

All the vintage clothing items I stock have been checked and cleaned before offering them to you for purchase or rent. Any damage has been noted and is identified in the product details before making available for purchase/rent.

Please be aware that the waterproofing and warmth of many vintage garments is vastly inferior to what is available now to modern consumers. Please keep in mind that if you wear, for example, a 1970’s snow suit in your average Australian snow conditions, it may not keep you as warm and dry as a modern brand-new snowsuit.

 

Why offer repaired Vintage items for sale or hire?

In line with my 'reuse, repair, recycle and reinvent’ philosophy I sometimes stock items that have been damaged and repaired, or reinvented because sometimes the item is a unique piece, reflective of the time and place of its creation…and I’ve fallen in love with it!

Consequently, I’ve weight up the advantages and disadvantages of cleaning and repairing an item and then offering the item for purchase or rent and concluded that you the consumer can decide if the item is right for you.

Returns

I get it. Sometimes you buy an item, and it just isn’t right, especially when shopping online. Getting sizing right with vintage clothing is tricky, so please look at the sizing guide and check your measurements before purchasing or renting.   

If you are unhappy with the purchase of any brand new stock, you are welcome to
return your items for a Store Credit as I do not refund for change of mind or incorrect sizing. To be eligible for a Store Credit, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it with all labels still attached.  

I don’t offer returns on any vintage items. 

 

Exchanges 

I really want you to have a great shopping experience with me. I am very happy to replace
any brand new defective or damaged stock or exchange brand new stock for a different
size if the sizing is incorrect.

Replacement/Exchange only apply after the item has been returned within 7 days of purchase. If you need to replace/exchange an item, please email me at info@idreamofsnow.com and with details regarding what you want to replace/exchange the item with.

Cost to ship the item being replaced/exchanged is at your own expense. Shipping
costs are non-refundable.

I do not offer exchanges on vintage items that state on the tag they have been repaired. Please read the section on “Why offer repaired Vintage items?”.

Once your return is received, I’ll email you and let you know the status of your exchange within 7 days. Shipping times will vary dependant on your location.

On Sale

The purchase of all reduced, on sale, vintage, pre-loved and original artwork items
are final.  No exchanges/credits or refunds are available for on sale, vintage, pre-loved and original artwork items so please choose carefully.

 

Shipping

I Dream of Snow uses Australia Post for shipping, excluding the shipment of bulky or oversized items that are over 20kg and or 105cm in length, width, or height. Shipping is calculated at check out. Oversized items are sold as pick up only. Alternatively, I Dream of Snow is happy to arrange a courier for oversized items at the shopper’s expense.
