From Jérôme Tanon, the person behind 2016's satirical docu-shred masterpiece "The Eternal Beauty Of Snowboarding" comes the much needed hardcover celebration of women's snowboarding.
For over 10 years Jérôme Tanon trained his lens on the riding culture, exposing layers of personality, emotion, talent and brevity in order to broadcast the more compelling aspects of a shared snowboarding experience.
Jérôme captures the trials and triumphs of the women who challenge themselves and the ideas of what is possible on a board every time they strap in. The result is "Heroes", the first of its kind book. 288 pages of hard cover book that is aesthetically engaging, intimate and inspiring.
Though women's snowboarding has developed radically over the last decade, few photographs celebrate the champions of the sport. Tanon travelled the world to meet snowboarders, hear their stories and photograph them in the streets, the parks and the back-country. The sheer passion they put into their sport was instantly obvious. Shared here are personal stories and artworks by the snowboarders themselves.
