Ezra Brooks Ski Boot Bourbon Whiskey Decanter 1972. The boot clasps are painted with liquid platinum.

The Ezra Brooks brand was created by Frank Silverman in 1957 and was bottled at the Hoffman Distilling Company, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, up until Hoffman Distilling Co. went out of business in the 1970s. In 1993, Ezra Brooks was purchased by Luxco of St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

The Ezra Brooks brand has a short but interesting heritage. The whiskey was made by two of Kentucky’s most prominent distilling families: first, the Ripys near Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and then the Medleys in Owensboro, Kentucky. For a period of about two decades, the brand became a sourced whiskey brand, but as we enter the second decade of the 21st century, it is once again being made at its own distillery but this time in Bardstown, Kentucky.

This decanter is empty and has sustained damage to the decanter lid. The lid broke in half and has been glued back together. The price has been changed to reflect the damage, from $95.95 to $65.95.
