Vintage maple wood Northland Skis. Beautifully stained maple wood with very well preserved Northland Ski Manufacturing Co., Saint Paul Minnesota USA logo. The bindings are very simple, just red leather foot pads and leather straps.
Above the bindings, the skis have engraved on them "6, Maple, 554". On the base of the skis, at the tips, the skis have branded into the wood the words in logo format "Northland Touring Ski St Paul Minn." surrounded by an oval border.
The logo identifies these skis as Northland Ski MFG Co, Saint Paul Minn., with a stag head in the logo's centre. A brand logo in good condition is pure vintage ski collecting gold! This logo was used between 1935-1940.
These skis are in excellent vintage condition! The a visible and identifiable logo is a key factor when buying original vintage skis instead of reproductions.
