This is an original vintage double sided advertising poster for Christian Dior Eau Savage Cologne by Italian-born illustrator Renee Gruau. Rene Gruau collaborated with fashion houses Givenchy, Balenciaga & Dior, contributed to Harpers Bazaar & Vogue, and created famous campaigns for the Moulin Rouge & Lido.
I got a bit distracted while looking for ski posters. This poster is a bit off brand for me, but the graphics are gorgeous which is why I bought it 20 years ago, off brand or not.
While Renee Gruau created posters for Dior in the 1970's, this poster is from the 1990's. This poster shows a naked white man with brown hair striding towards something in the distance, with a folded towel draped over his shoulder and hanging down the front of his body to his knees and holding a bottle of Dior Eau Savage against a black background.
This poster is huge. Please refer to the attached photos to determine the condition of this original vintage item. This poster show signs of age. I don't find that a negative as it's part of the posters life.
This advertising poster is in reasonable condition. It has four fold lines, where it was stored folded in the past, as well as damage on the edges of the poster as sown in the photos.
